ABOUT

WILD THING is a contemporary yoga studio situated in the heart of Sea Point, Cape Town founded by Lexi Ryman and Dominique Vieira. The Sanskrit translation of Wild Thing or Camatkarasana means ‘the ecstatic unfolding of the enraptured heart’ and that is exactly what this yoga studio is for us. A love for yoga is where this all started and Wild Thing is that love in a tangible form.


WILD THING offers a variation of Vinyasa based yoga and body conditioning classes running from early morning through to the early evening throughout the week. Our classes will cater for all levels and aspiring Yogis...


.. And we want to make sure that your yoga practice with us is as wonderful as you are. We offer strong, heated and non-heated Vinyasa Flow, classes set to music that makes you want to move. Our infrared heating is as good for your body as it is Eco-Friendly. Our classes are smaller, more personal and we love it that way because it means we can give you all the attention you deserve. At Wild Thing our focus is on alignment, intelligent sequencing and building your strength up from wherever you are in your practice. Vinyasa (All Levels)

A 60 minute flow yoga class set to music. We work with a series of carefully sequenced postures lead by the breath. Your breath creates the flow. Move on the breath in. Move on the breath out.

Flow So Hot

A 60 minute hot Vinyasa flow class. This class will be a bit more challenging. We’ll give you time to play, learn how to get upside down and get your core fired up. Yoga for people who are looking to do it a little differently. Come move with us.

Fit Flow

Fit Flow is a heated, upbeat yoga class with one small difference... we've added some light weights to your warriors. This class will challenge you and help you build the strength for your everyday practice. The way yoga is practiced is changing so the way we practice needs to follow suit. Its time to drop it like it's yoga squat hot.

Flow 101

A 60 minute Vinyasa flow class set to music for people who think they can’t do yoga. This class will focus on the foundations of a Vinyasa practice and core work. It will enhance your other disciplines and is a really good place to roll out your mat if you’re feeling a little intimidated or like your legs might snap if you bend over too far.

Chakra Vinyasa

A 60 minute flow focused on getting your chakras aligned AF. Depending on the chakra there will be a variation of standing postures, seated postures, inversions, hip openers, heart openers, twists, arm balances, backbends and meditation. (coming Soon)

Wild Thing Moves

Classes are of 45 minutes long. 30 minutes HIIT using mostly body weight exercises with very little equipment and an optional 15 minutes yoga warm-down. A fun, pressure-free workout designed to make you stronger and get your heart rate pumping to music you won't be able to help moving to. Let's make exercise fun again! Come and move with us.

Whats happening today



Everything you need to know before you yoga...

Yay. We’re excited you want to try out our little Wild Thing studio and we can’t wait to meet you. Whether you are brand new to yoga or whether you find yourself bound up in Eagle in your sleep, we want you to enjoy our studio space as much as we do.

What time to arrive

The studio will be ready for you 30 minutes before the class starts. Please make sure that you aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the class is scheduled to start. We value your time and our classes start promptly on time.

Facilities

As much as we love yoga pants, we also acknowledge that sadly, in this life, they are not always deemed appropriate attire. We have beautiful shower and change-room facilities available for your use. We also have lockers where you can store your valuables, baggage and problems.

Mats and towels

Whether or not you have your own yoga mat we have mats available for rent. If you’re someone who gets a good sweat on just thinking about exercise we also have non-slip yoga towels available for you to rent. If you want to take things to the next level and put a ring on it you can buy both mats and the towels from us too.

Time to get your yoga on

If it’s your first time and you’re worried about what to wear - active-wear is what you’re going for. Make sure it’s something you’re comfortable in and something that you can move in. When you arrive (15 minutes before your class) sign-in at the front desk, wink at your yoga teacher, grab a water and head through to the change room. Leave your shoes, socks, cell phone and worries behind in the change room and head on into the studio to get your zen on.
